VHS Dead at 30

Had to post this - it's the inevitable march towards an all-digital (and soon without physical media save for a hard drive) future...

You've Got Four Seconds

Interesting article on the BBC that states, apparently, if a shopper waits longer than four seconds for a site to show up, they'll leave - as well as that the site sets the visitors' impression of the company.

Last.fm Added

Added Last.FM music tracking to the blog, over there on the right side. You know, that personalization thing. That, and I really like a lot of music.

Last time I was hooked into Last.FM was in July, so the chart will be out of date for a little bit... but enjoy!

FAQQLY is interesting

Fun thing we're adding to our podcast launching next week... it's called Faqqly. Anyone can come and ask questions, and we have the choice of answering and posting them and it automates the whole process. Seems a whole lot less me-focused and much more you-focused (which I'm all about).

Of course, you can check it out now but we'll also be driving people to it through our podcast, so that if you have a question, you can ask and we'll either

  • answer you personally
  • answer you publicly or
  • if you're spam, not answer you at all.

Should be a fun way to interact and more visible than email. Enjoy and ask away!

Guru of Making "Wow!" Happen

Yep, my new working title. We've got even more improvements afoot... and one of them is better describing what I do.

But for now, check out this cool content - yes, we did the production for it, but the panel was really enlightening as to what needs to be done because it's all coming toward cross-media marketing.

In other news, welcome to the Sherry Washington Gallery to our family of clients for a new website & strategy. We're pulling together look 'n feel with their content, and expect to be launched soon.
